Network Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for designing, configuring, operating, and maintaining network infrastructure and security devices to ensure optimal performance, availability, and compliance with agreed SLA requirements.
• The engineer shall perform proactive network monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and coordinate with vendors for the resolution of complex technical issues.
• Evaluate new technologies, maintain system documentation, and prepare reports related to operational activities, system changes, and implementation works.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with networking protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, HTTP, VLAN, and VPN.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ACSA, or HCNA will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with LAN, wireless technologies, internet services, broadband routers, Cisco routers/switches, firewalls, and wireless devices is an added advantage
